Resin Bonded Gravel – The Alternative Option
Resin Bonded Gravel providing anti slip, attractive and durable surfacing for this tarmac drive in Cavendish Park Kings Clipstone.
We were requested by the client to make good and repair with regard to the eco drain and manhole. Our client had investigated the alternatives. Our client knew remedials could be completed and that we could resurface the existing tarmac driveway. Our Resin Bonded Gravel eliminates the need to remove the existing driveway surface but still provides the look of a brand new driveway. No mess or disruption.
The final finish of Resin Bonded Gravel provides a uniform, attractive, protective, anti slip, maintenance free and weed free surface.
The 2 main problems with this tarmac driveway were
- A damaged and ineffective eco drain. Originally when these properties were built the system was more than adequate. The general fall of this drive was fine and the structure basically sound. But due to the position (to access the drive vehicles have to drive over this eco drain) it had become damaged so a replacement was required. This then needed to be made good.
- A manhole built on soil! that’s what we found! – The tarmac surrounding the manhole had deteriorated over a period of time making the area very damaged, so in order to re site the manhole we had to build up the area.
The resultant patching up from these necessary works was – as you can see – not very pretty.
Our Resin Bonded Gravel provided the opportunity for an alternative to usual choices – block paving, concrete, tarmac, imprinted concrete. These choices require removal of the existing surface. Resin Bonded Gravel does not
