Mansfield Charity Rider Cycles on Berry Hill Lane

Mansfield mum Ginny Brown is  now a regular site on Berry Hill Lane in Mansfield.   Ginny is using pedal  power  ( a kind of tandem) to raise money for an operation for  little Jake Evans.   Ginny began her cycling bonanza on 11 June 2012  and will continue with her two children until 20 July 2012.

From our base on Berry Hill Lane in  Mansfield,  Simon and the lads of Drive-Cote Ltd had seen Ginny and her children Ben and Anna,   cycling  through the  rain and sunshine and wondered what it was all about.

I caught up with Ginny on one of her 83 trips on Berry Hill Lane Mansfield.   I had seen details in our local Mansfield  Chad and wanted to congratulate and contribute to the charity for  little Jake Evans.

Ginny has used her daily routine of taking her children to Berry Hill Primary School as an opportunity   to raise money for  little Jake.  £50000 is required to pay for a procedure  for Jake,  which will not cure him but could allow him to walk independently.

As the name suggests Berry Hill Lane is  hill and a lot of effort is required  for Ginny to get to the top!

Well done!   You can support Ginny and her efforts to help Jake and his family by visiting www.justgiving.com/just4- jake

Jake is  3 years old and has a condition called cerebral palsy.  Jake suffered some brain damage as a result of being born prematurely and the money raised is for  a procedure called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy.
