resin bonded aggregate resurfacing
Resin and all it’s variations is fast growing in popularity and use. Nationally it used on commercial applications such as Heritage sites, pedestrian walkways, tree pits, demarcation areas and roadways– just to name a few.
Resin – whether it is in it’s bonded or bound state, has a growing range of uses and applications. Whether they will all stand the test of time is another matter. What we do say is that we have been using Resin Bonded Aggregate resurfacing for over 12 years now.
Resin bonded aggregate resurfacing is our speciality. It balances cost with use, durability, quality and the fact that it reuses an existing surface like concrete, tarmac, imprinted concrete, slabs and in some cases paving.
There are a number of companies out there – worldwide I might add, offering a range of applications and products and services relative to resin for the driveway, garden and patio sector.
Porous paving being a very strong contender for the coveted first place (as far as companies preferring to install it). This is because it is reportedly advantageous for environmental impact aspects – by reducing the run off water. However you do not need to use a porous paving to manage the run off water.
Impermeable paving also known as resin bonded aggregate resurfacing comes in as a second place contender (as far as some installers are concerned). However in our experience this is the more environmentally friendly. This uses existing hard surfaces that are structurally sound as a base. No waste removal.
Pour On Gravel Binder – now this is a new one on us. It is considered by some companies to be a solution to loose gravel. It apparently locks gravel in place, reducing maintenance and leaves a porous natural looking finish. However, stability is going to be an issue here we believe. Certainly if a vehicle is to be used on it.
So if you are thinking of improving or changing your garden or driveway, path or patio, then look no further, resin and its variations including resin bonded aggregate resurfacing could be the answer. Remember you can have a weed free, anti slip surfacing option for your patio, paths and driveway with resin bonded aggregate resurfacing.
