impermeable resin bonded aggregate Ravenshead
Out to see a local Ravenshead customer interested in our impermeable resin bonded aggregate drive application.
This client had concrete on front and side path. There was nothing on the back of the property as the old slabbed patio had been removed.
This project currently had a large development in place and as a result of living locally the builder was looking at different options for this large development project and the benefits of an impermeable resin bonded aggregate drive application surface was of interest.
The obvious would be to resurface the existing concrete area on the front with our impermeable resin bonded aggregate. However, this is not something we could undertake too quickly. The reason being there were many large works in place currently and an impermeable resin bonded aggregate drive application would be the finishing touch.
Unfortunately because the slabs had been removed we would have to lay a new surface (or the builder) to accommodate this surface at the rear of the property.
In order for our impermeable resin bonded aggregate to be applied this surface would have be cured first. So after a 6 weeks installation we would then be able to install our impermeable resin bonded aggregate drive application.
Another alternative would be as this area is a patio area, we could be to install resin bound aggregate. There is not problem with this as it could be laid on top of compacted hardcore to allow free drainage which would save on installing a hard surface such as concrete or tarmac being installed. The down side is the fact that whilst it may be porous this can give rise to weeds and moss and can be less anti clip than the resin bonded.
This is obviously a project in the pipeline and will be interesting to see develop. The builder has our details and will be in touch with us as necessary.
Once again our impermeable resin bonded aggregate drive application would be able to offer a weed free anti slip surface for this Ravenshead resident.
