However it is important to be aware they offer very different qualities. There are many options available nowadays – concrete, tarmac, imprinted concrete, slabs, gravel, block paving indian sandstone – all having their own problem such as cost or suitability. Research as with anything is key.

So for e.g if it is for an anti slip , virtually weed free, maintenance free and impermeable surface able to use an existing concrete or tarmac base then resin bonded gravel is the option.

However if it is a porous surface you need then resin bound paving is the way to go. Just be aware that as a permeable surface it is less tensile than solid monolithic surfaces so care should be taken if you wish to use it on a driveway.

The resin used for resin bonded and resin bound is suitable for use with sealing surfaces such as block paving or imprinted concrete and this is possibly another reason resin drive install confusion can happen.
